Tom Cruise is back behind the wheel
Get ready to hear the roar of those engines again because Days Of Thunder is officially getting a sequel!
Tom Cruise is returning as NASCAR driver Cole Trickle, almost 40 years after the original hit cinemas in 1990.
And this time, he’ll have a pretty impressive co-star sitting alongside him.

Anne Hathaway joins the cast
Anne Hathaway has officially joined the cast of the new movie, where she’ll play a race team owner and engineer.
The pair announced the news in a video filmed at Daytona International Speedway, standing alongside a very flashy race car emblazoned with the Days Of Thunder logo.
The announcement also revealed that the movie is set to hit cinemas on June 2, 2028 and will be filmed for IMAX.
Almost four decades later!
The original Days Of Thunder starred Cruise alongside Nicole Kidman, Robert Duvall, Randy Quaid and John C. Reilly.
It followed hot-headed rookie driver Cole Trickle as he tried to make it big in the high-stakes world of NASCAR.
The original was a huge success, making almost $158 million worldwide from a $60 million budget.
Now, nearly four decades later, Cruise is getting back behind the wheel.
Production is expected to get underway soon, with Jonathan Levine directing and Jerry Bruckheimer returning as a producer.
