Get ready to rewind. If you spent the early 2000s trying to memorise the lyrics to “7 Days” or “Fill Me In,” it is time to warm up your vocal cords. Craig David is officially bringing his highly anticipated Born To Do It World Tour to Australia in May 2027.

The British R&B and garage icon is celebrating 26 years since his ground-breaking debut album changed the musical landscape. Now, he is bringing the magic back to the stage, performing the record in its entirety, along with a full live band and a massive catalogue of his greatest hits.

There is no denying the impact of Born To Do It. When it dropped in 2000, it spent more than 70 weeks on the UK charts and dominated the Australian airwaves, reaching number two on the ARIA Album Chart.

Craig David himself is just as excited about the milestone. “26 years ago, Born to Do It changed my life!” he shared in the tour announcement. “My two shows at London’s Hammersmith Apollo earlier this year were such an incredible vibe, and they meant so much to me. Playing the album front to back with my band for the first time brought back so many amazing memories. Because of that, I’ve decided to take this show around the world to my wonderful fans, and I’m excited to announce that I’m coming back to Australia. I can’t wait to see you there!”

More Than Just a Throwback

While the tour celebrates the past, Craig David has never really left the spotlight. With a career boasting 14 BRIT Award nominations, two Grammy nods, and an MBE for his services to music, he remains a dominant force. He commands over 6.1 million monthly Spotify listeners and has amassed more than five billion streams globally.

The digital version also included rare b-sides and exciting remixes of tracks like “Apartment 543” and “Human.” This reissue set the perfect stage for the upcoming live shows, allowing long-time supporters and new listeners alike to familiarise themselves with the tracks that defined a generation.
