UPDATE: 9.45AM – POLICE INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO SUNSHINE COAST FATAL
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash with witnesses urged to contact police.
Initial investigations indicate just after 8.50pm on Bells Creek Arterial Road, a crash occurred between a Toyota Landcruiser travelling northbound and a Toyota Kluger travelling south.
A 63-year-old Baringa woman, the driver and sole occupant of the Kluger, died from her injuries at the scene.
A 17-year-old Nirimba male, the driver and sole occupant of the Landcruiser, was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

A woman has died, and a teenager has serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash at Baringa.
Emergency crews raced out to the three-car crash on Bells Creek Arterial Road just before 9pm yesterday.
Paramedics treated the female patient in her 60s for critical injuries but she couldn’t be saved.
A teenage boy had to be freed from the wreck of one the vehicles and rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious pelvic and lower limb injuries.
Paramedics checked over a child and two adults, but they didn’t require further treatment.
