Teens arrested over alleged SEQ crime spree

Police have charged four teenagers with multiple property and vehicle offences after an alleged crime spree across south-east Queensland between June 11 and 12.

It is alleged a series of property crime offences were carried out across the Gold Coast, South Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, allegedly involving a group of teenagers armed with machetes.

The group are alleged to have gained entry into 11 properties where they stole a number of personal items, as well as a Toyota Landcruiser from an Alexandra Headland address, a Hyundai Santa Fe from Calamvale address and a Lexus CH200 from a Runcorn address.

The stolen Lexus was later found abandoned on June 12 in Yarrabilba.

Police located the group around 11.45pm on June 12 travelling in convoy in the stolen Toyota and Hyundai on the Sunshine Motorway in Sippy Downs.

The Toyota was brought to a stop after officers successfully deployed a tyre deflation device.

The occupants of the vehicle are then alleged to have entered the Hyundai and left the scene but were stopped a short time later when officers deployed a second tyre deflation device at around 11.50pm.

Three teenage boys allegedly fled the scene but were taken into custody nearby.

A fourth teenager was arrested on Saturday night when police executed a search warrant at a Yarrabilba address.

A 15-year-old Yarrabilba boy has been charged with multiple offences including seven counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent, five counts of enter premises and commit, four counts of attempted enter premises with intent, three counts each of enter dwelling and commit and unlawful use of motor vehicle, two counts each of wilful damage and one count each of stealing, dangerous operation of vehicle and armed robbery.

A 14-year-old Durack boy was charged with multiple offences including seven counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent by break at night, two counts each of enter dwelling and commit, robbery armed and unlawful use of motor vehicle, one count each of enter dwelling with intent, stealing, wilful damage and dangerous operation of motor vehicle.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Maroochydore Childrens Court on June 17.

A 15-year-old Coomera boy has been charged with multiple offences including two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles and one count of face masked, blackened or disguised with intent to commit

A 17-year-old Boronia Heights boy has been charged multiple offences including with two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicles and one count of face masked, blackened or disguised with intent to commit.
