Man airlifted after horse fall

A man has been flown to the Sunshine Coast Uni Hospital after falling from his horse in the Somerset region.

The man in his 60s was riding the horse on a property yesterday when he fell off and it landed on top of him.

He was treated for leg and pelvis injuries before being flown to hospital by the Lifeflight rescue chopper in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a serious crash at Beachmere.

Just before 5pm yesterday police and emergency services were called to Clayton Park after a 41-year-old Beachmere man crashed his electric motorbike when attempting to jump a grass hill.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
