A photo of missing Nambour man Tarci Carey on the last day he was seen has been released in the hope it will jog someone’s memory as search efforts enter a fifth day.
Police have not ruled out foul play as they continue searching for Tarci through thick bushland and difficult terrain with concurrent investigations being carried out.
But the search has so far failed to find any sign of Tarci.
Gympie police patrol group Inspector Brad Inskip says Tarci’s family is understandably distraught.
“They’re obviously concerned for Tarcia and that’s evidenced by the friends that are out here helping search,” he says.
“We’re still very determined to continue searching for Tarci.”
The CCTV image released shows the 22-year-old leaving a service station at Forest Glen last Friday about 2.10am before he headed to his home on Meditation Court.
His silver Mitsubishi Lancer was found abandoned on a 4WD track near Kenilworth on Monday (August 8), following a report from a member of the public.
Police on foot, motorbikes, and horesback along with SES volunteers are continuing the search today.
Anyone with information regarding Tarci’s whereabouts is urged to contact police.
