A man has been charged with manslaughter over a car crash that killed his passenger at Widgee near Gympie eariler this year.
It’s alleged the 30 year-old Widgee man was driving a Holden Commodore on Gympie-Woolooga Road around 12.30am on May 15 when it crashed.
His passenger, a 31-year-old Peregian Beach man, died at the crash scene.
Meanwhile, police are looking for the occupants of a car that drove at a police vehicle at Ningi near Sandstone Point.
Just before 1pm yesterday, a grey Lexus with stolen number plates drove at the police car outside a business on Regina Avenue.
The Lexus then hit a Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota Corolla as it fled the scene.
No officers or members of the public were injured during the incident.
A short time later, police found the Lexus which had been abandoned nearby.
