Two men have been charged over a crash that killed a 26 year-old Caboolture man on the Bruce Highway at Burpengary last month.

A 46 year-old Redcliffe man, who was allegedly driving a stolen Isuzu truck the wrong way up the northbound lanes of the highway when it hit the car, is facing numerous charges, including manslaughter.

He was being chased by a Ford Ranger ute on the highway just before the truck hit the car.

He’s due in court next month.

The Narangba man was one of a number of business owners in the area who pursued the truck, concerned it was being used to steal goods.

The driver of the truck is also charged with four counts of enter premises and commit, three counts of stealing, two counts of receiving tainted property and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to face Caboolture Magistrates Court on May 12.
