On 1 April this year, an unexpected collaboration was announced sparking curiosity around the world. Ingka Group and Chupa Chups teased an exclusive, limited-edition flavour lollipop that had tastebuds tingling and now, the wait is over.
On Saturday 20th June, eager customers across Australia and New Zealand can finally get their hands on the savoury sweet treat through a limited-time giveaway. IKEA Family Members will receive a free meatball-flavoured lollipop with every plate of ‘eatballs’ (meatball, plant ball, fish ball and falafel ball) purchased in-store at the IKEA Swedish Restaurant when they scan their IKEA Family membership card at the checkout.
Customers who are not IKEA Family members can sign up for free online via the website or through the IKEA app.

Created by Chupa Chups, the innovative and playful lollipop flavour, inspired by IKEA’s iconic Swedish meatballs and its tangy lingonberry jam accompaniment, makes the unexpected sweet and savoury treat the perfect pairing to a delicious plate of ‘eatballs’ when enjoyed in one of Australia’s IKEA Swedish Restaurants.
But customers will need to be quick! The meatball-flavoured lollipops are here for a sweet time, not a long time, whilst stock lasts only.
That’s not all! Further to IKEA’s meatball lollipop treat, customers can also expect new and exciting flavours in the Swedish Restaurant across Australia. Introducing traditional Swedish dish Fish balls and the return of the much-loved Daim cake, along with Falafel balls served with couscous and aioli, all available now.
And parents, rejoice. Every Tuesday from 2 June – 25 August, IKEA Family Members can enjoy one complimentary kids’ meal from the selected kids’ menu* when they purchase a hot main at any of the IKEA Australia participating stores*.
