This morning during a PlayStation State of Play, a showcase of upcoming projects releasing on the PlayStation console showed the first look trailer for our next James Bond.
Daniel Craig may have moved on but theirs already a new James Bond on the horizon but instead of a movie, our favourite British Spy (other than Johnny English) is coming to the video game world. 007 First Light will follow the story of a young and reckless James Bond as he goes through the MI6 training program. The origins of James Bond comes from the popular game developer IO Interactive (Hitman) in collaboration with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Eon Productions, and is currently set to release sometime in 2026. The game is telling a new story not yet seen on screen but is taking inspiration from the stories by Ian Fleming, but development team have stated that the opening sequence from Daniel Craig’s Casino Royale as the main point of inspiration. Telling the tale of a Bond earning his license to kill and earn his 00 status.
