Looks like the drama has started to bleed out from the screen.
MAFS is back for 2026 and it has been A LOT. We’re only a few weeks in and the drama has been so intense that viewers are opting out. It would appear that whilst some drama from the show is often welcomed, the sheer scale and amount that the viewers have been subjected too in the opening weeks seems to be too much. Many fans have made the bold claim that after 13-seasons on-air that the show has finally found its “rock bottom”.
For those who may have missed out, controversy kicked off after an explosive dinner in which insults were thrown left right and centre, most notably from Brook Compton. Her explosive outburst even resulted in her releasing a statement acknowledging her actions as inappropriate and shared that the environment the team creates lead to both other contestants and the shows producers constantly egging them on to get that exact reaction. But things went from bad to worse after a new groom entered the chat with Tyson Gordon who boldly declared he was seeking a wife who was against “woke culture” and someone who would be “submissive”.
Due to this behaviour displayed in just the opening episodes many fans have made the call to boycott the newest season. Despite many fans claiming they are opting to not continue on in the newest season, MAFS is still by far the most viewed show in the country with its Sunday episode pulling in over 3.541 million people.
