A four-wheel drive stolen at knife point in Gympie yesterday has reportedly been involved in a triple fatal crash on the Bruce Highway at Federal early this morning.
Three people died in the crash and a man in his 30s has been taken to Gympie hospital in a serious condition with head injuries.
Newscorp is reporting one of the three vehicles in the crash was an Isuzu MU-X which was stolen from a woman by a man with a knife in Gympie yesterday afternoon.

It’s understood the man who has been taken to hospital is the person who carjacked the 4WD in Gympie.
The southbound lanes of the highway are expected to be closed for an extended period and diversions are in place.
