Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two people who may be able to help them with their investigations into a serious assault at Elimbah last month.
Around 6pm on January 24, two men travelling north along Beerburrum Road in a light-coloured dual cab Toyota Hilux Ute pulled over onto the side of the road.

They left the vehicle and assaulted a 70 year-old man sitting next to a roadside stall before fleeing in their vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact them, including motorists who may have dashcam footage.
The people shown in the footage, or anyone who recognises them, is urged to contact police.
