Television presenter Rosanna Natoli is set to become the first female Mayor of the Sunshine Coast Council.
She currently holds a 5147 vote lead over second-placed candidate Ashley Robinson with almost 80 percent of the vote counted from Saturday’s election.
Councillor Jason O’Pray is out of contention, more than 11,000 votes behind Ms Natoli.
And Deputy Mayor Frank Wilkie is set to take the top job at Noosa Council.
He’s currently almost 5500 votes ahead of his nearest rival Ingrid Jackson with 79 percent of the vote counted.
Meanwhile, Gympie Mayor Glen Hartwig has been returned to the top job gaining more than double the number of votes of his nearest rival Naomi Wilson.
