A man has been flown to hospital in a serious condition, following a machinery incident north of Gympie.
Emergency crews were called to a private property at Bells Bridge around midday yesterday, after an excavator he was operating rolled onto its side on a steep embankment.
Paramedics treated a patient in his 60s for chest and shoulder injuries.

He was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, by the local RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.
