A 21 year-old man is continuing to fight for his life in a Brisbane hospital after an alleged assault in Maroochydore on the weekend.
Police said early on Saturday morning two groups of people became involved in a fight on Ocean Street.
It is alleged the man was punched and knocked to the ground.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital and then later airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital with critical injuries.
He remains in intensive care after undergoing surgery.
Three men are assisting police with their enquiries
