A 33-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving at police during a traffic stop in Morayfield early this morning.
It’s alleged, around 1.20am, police stopped a grey Mercedes Benz C200 on Forest Hill Drive near the intersection with Wingara Drive.
Officers allegedly approached the vehicle and were attempting to speak to the driver when he drove away.
The driver then allegedly reversed his vehicle into the police vehicle after officers had returned to it.
Both officers sustained minor injuries from the crash and were treated at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old Burpengary man, was taken into custody and has since been charged with two counts of endangering a police officer when driving a motor vehicle and one count of possessing meth.
He is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
