An extensive land and air police search is underway south of Gympie for missing Nambour man Tarci Carey.
The 22-year-old man was last seen about 4am on Friday (August 5) leaving a Meditation Court, Nambour address in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer (pictured), and he has not made contact with anyone since.
Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour is out of character.
On Monday, August 8, Tarci’s vehicle was spotted on a 4WD track in Kenilworth and it was later found in the area abandoned.
A co-ordinated search-and-rescue operation was launched in the area.
This search has restarted this morning with police on foot, motorbikes and ATV along with SES volunteers, SES drones and aerial assets.
Tarci is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 190cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and blue eyes.
He was last seen wearing a grey jumper with blue and red stripes and long black pants.
Anyone with information regarding Tarci Carey’s whereabouts or who may have seen the movements of the vehicle pictured between August 5 and August 8, is urged to contact police.
