A hang glider has been airlifted to hospital after crashing 15 metres to the ground in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Emergency crews were called to Maleny Montville Road at Balmoral Ridge around 12.35pm on Saturday.
Paramedics treated a man in his 50s for multiple injuries, while a rescue helicopter was deployed to the scene.
The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper later flew the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
According to QAS, he was transported in a serious condition.
