The search continues for a 28-year-old man, missing from the Sunshine Coast hinterland for nearly one month.
Edan Huntington hasn’t been in contact with family or friends, since he disappeared from Montville in the early hours of January 18.
The Gold Coat man had been staying with his father at an Air BnB.
Sunshine Coast District sergeant Peter Hocken says Edan was ‘distressed’ over medical issues the morning he disappeared.
He says they hold ‘grave concerns’ for the young man, with police yet to find any activity on his bank accounts and credit cards.
“Those investigations are still being carried out, again our information is that nothing further has been used from the missing person since that time,”
The police helicopter and drones were called in to search bushland and roadsides in the hinterland on Wednesday and Thursday.
“At this stage we have to start from Montville. There’s been no other sightings or contact since that time so we’re looking at the Montville/Palmwoods area to begin with, and then we’ll expand our search out further,” Sergeant Hocken says.
Anyone who lives in Montville and Palmwoods, or travelled through on January 18, is being urged to check their dashcam or CCTV footage for any sign of Edan or his vehicle, a dark grey Ford Territory with New South Wale registration CQG59F.
