An excavator has caught alight on a roadside in the Gympie Region.
The blaze broke out in the machinery along Carlson Road at Coles Creek just before 8am on Wednesday.
A QFES spokesperson says three fire crews attended the scene.

They had the fire under control by 8.20 and were continuing to dampen down hotspots as of 8.30am.
No one was injured in the blaze, with QAS on standby at the scene.
