The Dolphin’s bad run with injuries is continuing with news Max Plath has a serious knee injury.

It has also been revealed Tom Gilbert and Daniel Saifiti will be out for the season with shoulder injuries.

Plath suffered a knee injury in last week’s 56-6 win against the Dragons and scans have shown some damage.

He will visit a specialist next week when a decision will be made on whether he needs surgery or rehab.

Saifiti will undergo surgery today on the shoulder he hurt in round eight against Canberra.

Gilbert has had his pectoral tear operated on but during that operation medical staff also found a labrum tear in his shoulder that was also repaired.

It means Gilbert will not be able to return late this year as was first hoped.

Saifiti and Gilbert should both be ready for full training during the 2026 pre-season.

Thomas Flegler also continues his rehabilitation from a long-term shoulder injury.

He has not played since round five of last year.
