A dirt bike rider has been airlifted to hospital following a crash on K’gari.
It’s believed the man in his 60s has been riding his three-wheeled motor-trike on 75 Mile Beach, north of Eli Creek yesterday morning, when it hit a washout.
The crashed caused him to topple over the handlebars before the vehicle landed on top of him.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper was called to the eastern side of the island, just before midday.
Paramedics treated the patient for lower-leg injuries, before transferring him to the waiting helicopter.
He was then flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
