The community’s rallying around local police, with an outpouring of support following the deaths of two fellow Queensland officers.
Constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold were both shot and killed in an ambush, at a property in Chinchilla on the Western Downs on Monday.
Flowers have since been left outside and delivered to Sunshine Coast police stations.
Others have taken to social media to express their thanks and acknowledge the confronting and dangerous situations officers face on a daily basis.
Local police say it’s comforting and heart warming to hear, and have thanked the community for its ongoing support as they try to make sense of the horrific tragedy.
