Budget airline Bonza has blamed an abnormal odour on the flight deck of a plane heading to the Sunshine Coast as the reason emergency crews were called to the airport yesterday.
The Queensland Ambulance Service initially said a “fumes incident” during the flight from Melbourne to the coast sparked concerns.
The flight arrived at the expected time and all customers and crew disembarked without incident.
The two pilots were taken to Nambour Hospital as a precaution with very minor symptoms after the plane landed on the coast at 4.30pm yesterday.
They were cleared soon after.
A Bonza spokesperson said a full assessment of the aircraft by engineers has given it the all clear.
