A 16 year-old boy has been charged after he allegedly drove a stolen vehicle dangerously in Caboolture last night.

The Subaru left the scene and the driver of the other vehicle was not physically injured.

Police said at 10.30pm, the Morayfield boy drove the car to a Beerburrum Road residence where a 17-year-old friend tried to stop him driving away by reaching into the vehicle.

He fell as the vehicle drove away and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At 11.35pm police allegedly spotted the vehicle driving at speed on the wrong side of the road on Pettigrew Street.

At 11.44pm the vehicle was found abandoned in Wallace Street and a search of the area located the 16 year-old boy in a yard on McKean Street.
