Open Gardens

Two private gardens are being opened up over the Easter Weekend to raise money for the Royal Flying Doctors Service, Queensland.  At The Shambles you will find a cottage garden on nearly an acre of land, well established over 35 years.  Kyleigh and Michael Simpson have poured their hearts and souls into this garden and it is a riot of roses, trees, statues, flowering shrubs and also the Rising Sun pop up cafe where you can purchase scones and tea! (Suitable also for those in wheelchairs.)

At 238 Western Avenue, Montville, you will find a garden that is much newer in creation – 9 years of blood, sweat and tears, love and attention to detail – a property with many different garden areas, seating, views, pathways, plants for sale, etc. (Not as suitable for wheelchair users.)

The gardeners are all happy to chat and share their knowledge with you.  $10 per person per garden.  All going to a good cause.  Open from 9am – 4pm both days, both gardens.
