Cruise the Mangroves

All aboard!

Come along for a special morning boat ride exploring the Maroochy River and the beautiful Wetlands Sanctuary.

Accompanying you will be special guest speakers who will help translate the incredible world of mangroves and intertidal ecosystems that keep our river clean and oceans teeming with life. We’ll disembark at the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary where bird watchers will delight in spotting some of the 200 species, whilst budding botanists learn about the six types of mangroves thriving in this reserve. Activities for kids may include crab spying, mangrove music and nature illustration (depending on numbers).

This 3hr journey will depart from Maroochydore and visit the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary in Bli Bli before returning to dock. You’ll be treated to onboard refreshments, including hot drinks and light brunch. Families are welcome, with under 5yrs free!

This event will be held on 26th July, in celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem. Please join us in celebrating our local mangrove ecosystems aboard the Cruise Maroochy Charter!
